Jahon International at Korean Culture Day in Sapa 2020

Korean Culture Day in Sapa on October 24, 2020 attracted thousands of domestic and foreign visitors with a variety of impressive activities. It was jointly held by the Korean Culture Center (under the Embassy of Republic of Korea in Vietnam) and Lao Cai province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The program took place at Sapa Square, Sapa Town under the host of the Korean Culture Center and the People’s Committee of Lao Cai province with the supports from the People’s Committee of Sapa Town, Korean Tourism Organization (KTO), Korean Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and Korea Chamber of Business in Vietnam (KORCHAM).

Korean Culture Day in Sapa 2020 featured a wide range of cultures, tourism and cuisines from Vietnam and Korea. Visitors were able to enjoy cultural experience when going along a series of booths, which were present from 10am to 5pm. The evening program setting off at 8pm witnessed a music show, featuring spectacular performances by Korean and Vietnamese artists, including Hansara, K-pop cover dance group The Acode, Dan Bau (monocord) artist Le Hoai Phuong and Co La Group. The collaboration of the artists from both countries had brought spectators a memorable night filled with traditional yet vibrant atmosphere.

As a bridge between Vietnam and Korea, Jahon International had joined in the event, wishing to introduce a reliable medical service of Phuong Dong General Hospital to visitors coming to the Korean Culture Day. The booth Jahon-Phuong Dong was supposed to provide medical support to visitors of the event and give information about services of Phuong Dong Hospital.

Sapa is an extremely popular tourist destination in Vietnam and today many Korean people want to set foot here for not only the majestic landscape but also the hospitable and friendly people, and culinary richness and uniqueness. It is hoped that the program will be a channel to bring Sapa’s and Vietnamese cultures closer to Korea and via versa.
